Julie McConnell

Quilter, Wife, Mother and Kiwi

I am available for classes from July 2017. My husband I have finished our secondment to Bucharest Romania where I made contact with Quilters and had furthered my quilting knowledge.
view my blog on my website http://www.julesquilts.co.uk.

I mostly have experience in traditional patchwork and also love dyeing my own cloth. passing on my knowledge through teaching.
I have taken up the challenge and bought a long arm machine which I will spend the next year learning.
My journey into the quilt art world is still in its infancy. Having a background in textiles I came into the quilt world in 1997.

I draw my inspiration from the world around me, whether it is from my travels, my background or culture.
I still spend some of the year in Auckland NZ where I belong to local and national groups.

I am always striving to progress and advance my knowledge and technique within the world of fabric art, and enjoy taking a variety courses that help me achieve this. I am passionate about passing this new found knowledge onto other quilters through my classes. Arohanui Jules
