“Thread: Celebrating Creativity in Historic and Contemporary Quilts”
25th March – 4 June
Torre Abbey Historic House and Gardens, Torquay
We are delighted to confirm that items from The Quilters’ Guild Collection will be on show in a specially created exhibition at Torre Abbey in Torquay, to coincide with The Quilters’ Guild Annual Conference and AGM. The exhibition pays homage to quilts and quilt-makers of the past, present and future by exploring the creativity and skill of historical and contemporary quilts from the collection. This is a fantastic opportunity for Quilters’ Guild members, travelling to Torquay from all over the country to celebrate patchwork and quilting at the annual conference, to have access to pieces from your very own collection. Torre Abbey Historic House and Gardens is located directly adjacent to The Riviera International Centre, where the conference is being held.
entrance fee to Torre Abbey is £7.85 for adults and £6.45 for
concessions – but any Guild member attending the conference is entitled
to a 50% discount on the admission cost.
