FoQ Stewards Wanted!

Calling all Guild Members who will be attending The Festival of Quilts this year

Hilary Kennerley is organising the Stewards again this year but is still short of volunteers. We do need stewards to ensure the safety of the quilts during opening times and to help visitors enjoy the quilts.

Stewarding involves being assigned to a particular section of quilts, talking to visitors and answering their questions if you can and turning the corners of the quilts to reveal the backs whilst wearing your white gloves. You would also need to keep an eye on the quilts to make sure visitors do not touch them.

So what are the perks? If you can do 2x  2hr sessions on the same day or 1 on each of 2 days you will get:

  • A free entry ticket and early entry to view the quilts in peace for 1day.
  • A free catalogue.
  • White gloves will be provided.
  • Free tea/coffee/homemade cakes after your stewarding session.
  • A secure room to leave bags while you are stewarding.

If you could do just 1 session there will still be refreshments.

Why not join with a friend and both do the same 2hr slot and get the perks?

Stewarding sessios are each 2hrs long starting at 9.30  11.30  1.30  and 3.30.  I have spaces on all sessions EXCEPT 9.30 and 1.30 on Thursday.

If you could offer to help or have any questions please contact Hilary on hjkennerley@yahoo.co.uk  or phone 0151 201 7062 before 9pm please
