I had a wonderful surprise this morning when the postman returned after slipping a very thin letter through the door. He had a box in his arms! it had come all the way from Ohio. Inside were three little heart hangers, almost 4 metres of red fabric with silver hearts stencilled on it and a note to say that the sender hoped we would do well with the tombola. She also sent me some photos of her work. I promised her I would do a workshop to get people to come along and use the lovely heart fabric she has sent us.
It never fails to surprise me how generous our quilters of the world are. We have had a needlecase from Texas, a wall hanging from a well known quilter in Australia in addition to all the ones that have just sailed through the letterbox from all around the UK.
