Your Guild needs you – exciting national roles for volunteers
The Quilters’ Guild relies on volunteers to deliver Guild activities both nationally and locally. We currently have vacancies for volunteers to take up national roles.
Trustees are first and foremost members of The Guild and their collective knowledge and expertise of patchwork and quilting, regions and different aspects of business is invaluable. This is a strategic role which is interesting, stimulating and rewarding and is your opportunity to represent the members that we serve. This is an exciting and challenging time for The Guild and if you are at all interested in learning more about how The Guild functions and influencing The Guild’s direction there are three vacancies in 2019.
We would particularly welcome people with the following skills but if this does not apply to you and you are interested in playing a role please apply:
Audit (needed 2019),
Current Digital/IT systems expertise,
General Strategic level business experience.
Trustee meetings (six times each year) usually take place in York apart from a short meeting held at the AGM – see meeting dates for 2019 in The Quilter magazine. Trustees are also asked to give as much of their time as possible to attend the AGM/Conference and our activities at FOQ. Normal Guild expenses apply to this role.

FOQ Ltd Director Vacancy
There is a vacancy for an Events Director of FOQ Ltd (Conference & AGM), the Guild’s commercial arm: We would be particularly interested in hearing from members who have expertise in regard to managing budgets and/or experience in large scale event management.
There are five or six FOQ Ltd meetings annually, the meetings usually take place in York (apart from at the AGM) and usually last two to three hours.
