This event takes place on 8th October 2015 from 10:00am to 4:00pm and will take place at Quilt Museum and Gallery, St Anthony's Hall, Peasholme Green, York, YO1 7PW. It is a Guild event being organised by The Quilters' Guild, .
Learn how to create a three-dimensional effect by using true perspective in drafting a simple patchwork block. With the vanishing point in the centre, the ultimate effect is that of looking inside a patchwork box. Once drafted, freezer-paper templates are used to piece the design, preferably by machine, although it could easily be pieced by hand.
Hopefully the day will be a technique day where the skills are mastered and further design ideas suggested to give you the tools to create original and exciting works of art of your own in the future.
Sewing machines will be provided and a requirements list will be sent out on booking.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
