Alison Walne

I have been interested in patchwork and quilting for some time; and over the past two to three years I have attended lots of classes. I am now retired and I want to to keep learning and making more and varied projects. I particularly enjoy hand-quilting in the Welsh style although desperately need to improve my rocking motion while stitching. In the past I have done a lot of knitting and some wool spinning, as well as embroidery, cross-stitch, machine and hand-sewing and a limited amount of lace-making. I also enjoy reading, swimming and walking; although I have recently been ill and have taught myself to crochet in the meantime. Probably, most iportantly I have a completely irrational fear of completing projects! I have a civil partnership with Jill (who knits, crochets, spins and has just started dying), and we have 3 cats Molly, Zebedee and Florence. I hope to meet lots of you, and learn and improve my skills possibly with your help and advice. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to meeting you soon!
