Annette Morgan

I have lived in East Anglia most of my life, and I have lived in Thetford for the last 3 years. I am currently working on a new collection of work and a new book based on the town and countryside where I live entitled Sticks and Stones - the local stone is flint and we are surrounded by Thetford Forest. We live in flint, pantiled cottage. The book will be available from August 2013, when I will be having a solo exhibition at the Festival of Quilts at The NEC in Birmingham.

My passion is textiles in all forms, especially the quilted medium, and I have taught City and Guilds courses to Diploma level for the last 14 years [currently by distance learning and by attendance in Ipswich] and am a Qualified teacher [Cert Ed].

I am a previous Vice President [1999-2001] and President [2001-2003] of the Quilter's Guild of the British Isles and founder of Contemporary Quilt, a specialist interest group of the QGBI.

I am also a qualified Quilt Judge and tutor on the prestigious quilt judging course run by the QGBI
