Janet Bevan

My recent work has featured World War 1 with a series of studies on this theme using a variety of techniques.
I have recently moved down to Kent and started CQ Kent for members of the Contemporary Quilt Group.
Recently I bought an Avanté longarm machine and enjoying improving my free-machine quilting and learning ruler work. I post my work in progress on my FaceBook blog

I have five years of Journal Quilts, and give talks using these as inspiration and techniques.
Since being in lockdown over the past year, I have put my Journal Quilts into a slide show to run on Zoom and have a few more ideas in the pipeline.

The image of pumpkins is my latest quilt, based on a photo from a display at English Heritage property, Walmer Castle.
