My quilting journey has been extraordinarily strange. Starting my first ever quilt in June 2014, I have made over 250 quilt tops, I professionally long-arm quilts in my own quilt studio and was a TV presenter on Sewing Street promoting quilting at every chance I can.
I run a quilt shop in Tring, Hertfordshire which has two years in a row been nominated by Sew Magazine as the Best independent haberdashery in the east of England. In 2020 I was lucky enough to win the award of Best independent haberdashery in the east of England. I was also placed third in the United Kingdom as one of the top Sewing Workshop providers in the UK. An extraordinarily profound achievement after only opening my shop in August 2018.
I run the quilt podcast called "Quilt Along with John" on YouTube each 6:30pm on a Sunday evening.
I love all aspects of quilting. Mostly the fantastic community aspects.
