Maria Spiller

I have been sewing since a young age, have tried my hand at most things, and made my first quilt in the 1990s.

Following redundancy in 2009, by chance, I was asked to tutor patchwork and quilting by a local sewing shop. The rest is history, as they say, and I now teach across Essex for art/craft studios, at local groups plus my own classes.
Completion of C&G Level 4 PTLLS in 2012 helped secure a tutoring role with Essex Adult Education from 2013 to 2016.

I completed C&G Level 3 Certificate in Patchwork & Quilting in 2013, and the Diploma in 2017.

In January 2013, I started a new patchwork and quilting group in Brentwood, which is now thriving. Get in touch if you're interested in joining; details are on our website
