Stephanie Lockie

I have been a teacher of textiles for many years, teaching in schools and adult education in the 1970's and currently teaching all levels of patchwork and quilting in my studio in Weymouth. Time between these saw me bring up my 2 sons and living in Papua New Guinea for 10years where I enjoyed taking in the culture of a very primitive culture and teaching the ladies skills of dressmaking and patchwork.
I also taught in the local patchwork shop from basic skills of patchwork to more advanced patchwork and design courses.

My main interests are contemporary style quilts and am currently using my experiences of Papua New Guinea to develop themes in my work.
I am a qualified quilt judge accredited to the QGBI
