Thanks to an idea from Hilary Gooding, the theme for the 2014 tombola is to be "Hearts". We all love hearts and thus the title of the web site and the catchy logo was conceived. From its early embryonic stages as a heart, it has taken wings now and has launched itself as a host of projects for you to make - whether you wish to use your own patterns or make up one of ours on the Tutorials page is your choice. Finished "Love Hearts" can be sent to us via the address on the contact page or handed to one of your coordinators or area reps. You can give your heart to the staff at The Quilt Museum in York as well. It can even be taken to a show where Lynette Harris (The Stitch Witch) is trading. Lynette has very kindly offered to be our courier as long as the items are in bags and marked "hearts"
So, whether you are on a remote island, in a buzzing metropolis or anywhere in between, please help us to raise funds for The Quilters' Guild by contributing to our tombola for 2014. Get together with friends and have a heart sewing day! If you need ideas, please contact us and we will help with organisational tips and lots of 'how-to' suggestions!
Grateful thanks go to all of the heart-makers for this event. Keep them coming!
