"Wee Sewing Notions" is the theme for the fundraising Tombola to be held at the Conference and AGM in Scotland in 2020. Organised by Region 16 of the Quilters Guild they are an ideal way to use up your stash. We would love it if as many as possible made a sewing notion (or two!). They should be made from good quality new fabric and can be a mix of useful wee sewing notions .. pincushions .. needle books .. scissor and rotary cutter cases for example.
They have have made it easy for us to make a start by posting two patterns which can be found here and here! One is foundation paper pieced and the other is made using hexagons so both are a great opportunity to learn new skills or utilise your current knowledge.
An internet search will reveal lots of ideas for the front of your sewing notions from the very elaborate and decorative to the very simple. You could use up those left over blocks from another project too.
Please post them to Jan Roan, Rose Cottage, Carlisle Road, Annan, DG12 6QS
