Your Guild needs you – exciting national roles for volunteers

The Quilters’ Guild relies on volunteers to deliver Guild activities both nationally and locally. To find out more about the many benefits to be gained from volunteering with the Guild, click here.  We currently have vacancies for volunteers to take up national roles:

Trustees

Trustees are first and foremost members of The Guild and their collective knowledge and expertise of patchwork and quilting, regions and different aspects of business is invaluable.  This is a strategic role which is interesting, stimulating and rewarding and is your opportunity to represent the members that we serve.  This is an exciting and challenging time for The Guild and if you are at all interested in learning more about how The Guild functions and influencing The Guild’s direction. 

We would particularly welcome people with the following skills but if this does not apply to you and you are interested in playing a role please apply: 

Current Digital/IT systems expertise, 

Quality Assurance, 

Business Development, 

General Strategic level business experience

Trustee meetings (six times each year) usually take place in York apart from a short meeting held at the AGM – see meeting dates for 2020 in The Quilter magazine. Trustees are also asked to give as much of their time as possible to attend the AGM/Conference and our activities at FOQ.  Normal Guild expenses apply to this role.
